<div class="blip_description">I&#8217;m not smug enough to believe this all happened by accident or that I had no hand in this.  Gas prices right now are the fault of all of us in some small way.  I could go on&#8230;and I will soon.  But for now, I too am having my moment with the increased cost of getting around the city from day to day.

<div class="blip_description">I love the great outdoors.  And I love the city too.  Most people who know me, know that I am found of being outside, around nature, trees, etc.  While running in the park recently, it hit me that many of our problems stem from our profound disdain and reverence for nature and the power She has to keep us sane and secure. Without trees, we would be a world with no shade, intense heat, and lots more carbon in the air, e.g. pollution.</div>
<div class="blip_description">

<div class="blip_description">I also like old houses.  I like the new, but old houses seem to have a characteristic that can&#8217;t be found or faked in newer buildings.  The trend today is to take a house that could otherwise be fixed and deem it a &#8220;tear down.&#8221;  So much of our urban areas areas around the country are falling victim to this.  In areas of Atlanta, I recently saw firsthand how neighborhoods are being totally gentrified and rebuilt, to look like something&#8230;well&#8230;something fake and plastic.</div>
<div class="blip_description">

<div class="blip_description">Walking neighborhoods are disappearing for cosmopolitan lifestyles and I wonder if anyone else cares.</div>
